The completion of fencing projects at the Jewish cemeteries in Kitsman (Cotmani, Kotzman), Nepolokivtsi (Nepolokauti), and Stara Zhadova in Chernivtsi oblast, SW Ukraine, marks the first time ESJF has actively engaged in construction projects in Ukrainian Bukovina. However, this is not our first project in this historic region, which was once a part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Earlier this year, we completed a fencing project just over the border, at the Briceva Jewish cemetery in Moldova.

Construction at three more cemeteries in the region is due to be completed in the coming weeks.
